The Poetry of Hannah Zerai

I.

in the night I crawl

into your thoughts, and dawn

shows me still brighter

II.

your stomach sits soft

a place to bore and bury

all my weight in you

III.

I lurk in the grass

blades, first spring flowers, and last

fall of snow, waiting

IV.

warm night, children play

set alarm for the end, hope

world leaders hit snooze
